MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A Huntsville man accused in the deaths of his wife and son is expected to appear in court next month.
WAAY-TV reports (http://bit.ly/14TMPEY ) a preliminary hearing for Stephen Marc Stone is scheduled for May 1. Stone is accused of capital murder in the death of his wife, Krista, and his 7-year-old son Zachery.
Authorities have said the man's wife was strangled and the boy died of strangulation and drowning Feb. 24. Officials say after the slayings, Stone surrendered to police in Leeds — just east of Birmingham.
