SEMMES, Alabama - The Mobile County Sheriffs Office is working a double homicide at the corner of Meadow Ln and Kings Branch Drive S. in the Semmes area.
Deputies said they were called out to a home on fire sometime after 10:30 p.m. Friday June, 21.
Investigators said they arrived to find the residence, which is in a subdivision just outside of the Semmes city limits, on fire and then discovered a gruesome scene inside.
Officials found a male and female dead in the home and would only say it was apparent that foul play was involved.
The Mobile County District Attorneys Office, firefighters, and relatives of the deceased were also on-scene.
Investigators expect their investigation to continue well into Saturday morning. Both bodies were removed from the home at around 2:30a.m Saturday June, 22.
Officials would not elaborate on a suspect or motive at this time.
No word on any arrests.
