MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: 10:30 a.m. The district attorney's office says the charges against Carlos Kennedy have been upgraded to capital murder. The DA's office will not say that a sexual crime happened. However, they added he has a previous indecent exposure charge.
8:42 a.m. The Mobile Police Department has made an arrest in the Zoa White murder investigation.
Public Information Officer Christopher Levy said 24-year-old Carlos Edward Kennedy was arrested at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home in the 100 block of Mobile Infirmary Drive in Mobile.
Kennedy has been charged with murder and is being held at the Mobile County Metro Jail.
Zoa White, a well known Mobile realtor, was found dead in her midtown home on June 28, 2010.
The cause of death was described as blunt force trauma to the head.
Investigators believe she was killed during a burglary.
