WILMER, Ala. (WALA) - Devin Evans, 17, is accused of shooting a deputy's patrol car twice with a shotgun in Wilmer.
It's believed Evans was under the influence of spice when he opened fire on the deputy.
Investigators have recovered the weapon which was ditched in a wooded area after officials say the 17-year-old fired shots heavily damaging the patrol car.
Evans is charged with attempted murder and discharging a gun into an occupied vehicle.
Jail records show Evans is now out on bond.
The trial for Giuseppe Pino LoPorto continues today in Baldwin County. LoPorto, now 80-years-old, faces several sex abuse charges against a child dating back to the early 90s.
