MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - Mobile Police are investigating a robbery-murder of a Domino's Pizza delivery person. Russell Lee Allen, 21, died of his injuries Friday morning.
Police said the crime happened at the pizza shop on Dauphin Island Parkway around 10:00 p.m. Thursday night.
"The suspect went inside the store, demanded money, and shot the victim, who died this morning," said Major Kara Rose.
Police said the suspect is a black male who wore dark clothing.
Co-workers say Allen was a dependable worker.
Another robbery happened at McDonald's a few blocks away about an hour and a half later, but police are not connecting the two robberies.
"We do not believe those are related. The Domino's robbery-homicide and the McDonald's robbery are not related," said Rose.
Police say they don't have much to go on and investigators need the public's help finding the suspect who shot and killed Allen.
A third robbery was also reported Thursday night. It happened at Taco Bell on Moffett Road around 9:00 p.m.
Police believe four people are accused in that crime. The suspects could be driving a Burgundy Ford Explorer.
