It's time to shop for those cute summer dresses! Fashion stylist Kristi Hicks says finding dresses that compliment your figure is what's important whether you're a size 0, 4, 8, or 12. She says make sure you're wearing the clothes, and they're not wearing you.
Here are her tips:
If you're a size 0:
If you have a narrow or "Boyish" shape look for clothing that adds volume to either your upper body or lower. Look for ruffles, draping or layers to build beautiful curves in all the right places. Move over little black dress!! It's summer and the little white dress has arrived.

If you're a size 4:
Don't be afraid of stripes this summer! Any woman can wear stripes and look good! The trick is knowing how to make them work for your body shape. In most cases, smaller stripes make you look smaller, and larger stripes make you look larger. so a dress with small stripes at the waist and large stripes along the chest would make it appear as if you have a small waist and large chest.
Holley is wearing stripes of different sizes, the smallest of which are featured in the mid-section of the dress, preventing the widening effect. Another fabulous feature on this dress is the tiny vertical pleats that keep the eye moving and creates a long lean line.

If you're a size 8:
When choosing your clothes, choose things that show off your best features. If you think your shoulders are your best feature, look for tops and dresses that are strapless, or that have spaghetti strap. If your waist is your best feature, choose dresses with a cinched waist or add a belt.

Valerie is wearing a sundress with a medium print. Prints that are large can be overwhelming. A v-neck is a great way to elongate a short torso. The skirt is flirty and skims over the hips to hide trouble spots. Finish the look with a neutral wedge to give the appearance of a longer line, and let the dress speak for itself.
