MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - It was an unusual site in downtown Mobile Thursday morning, and many of you sent in pictures as proof.
The word "MURDER" in big, red, bold letters were spray painted on the side of the Title Insurance Building at St. Michael and St. Joseph Streets.
Earl Hollingshead owns the building.
"I don't know what to say, it is amazing," said Hollingshead. "Maybe we should charge admission."
It didn't take long for the Downtown Mobile Alliance to show up, and start cleaning up.
"It is a little frustrating," said Clayton Ratledge with the Alliance.
It is also time consuming. He has to use a power washer to clean up the wall.
"What took the artist 15 seconds, maybe two minutes to put up, will take us all day to take down," added Ratledge.
Ratledge said he's removed work by the same artist before.
"I'm told he floats back and forth between New Orleans and Mobile. Their downtown business improvement district has to remove it just like us," shared Ratledge.
