GRAND BAY, Ala. (WALA) - A 16-year-old Grand Bay teen was not in the shed Wednesday, June 12 where FOX10 News found him the day before.
There was no answer at the home, however there was a car in the yard.
The boy's father, 40-year-old David Diamond, told FOX10 News the child was not allowed inside the house unless he or his wife were home.
According to sheriff's investigators and neighbors, the boy spends the entire day in the yard and shed behind the family home.
Diamond was arrested Monday, June 10 for domestic violence.
Investigators said he choked the teen during a confrontation over the boy "breaking" into the house during the day.
FOX10 News Reporter Renee Dials is continuing her investigation into the story. She talked to the boys stepfather who said he and the child's mother tried for years to get custody of the teenager.
