BALDWINF COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - A drug suspect was arrested in Fairhope after a meth bust at a Loxley hotel.
Loxley Police say a housekeeper at the Winchase Inn in Loxley discovered a "shake and bake" meth lab in a hotel room.
Police determined the man staying there was part of a construction crew working in Fairhope. The Baldwin County Drug Task Force caught up with Joshua Smith, 29, in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant and brought him to Loxley for questioning.
Police charged him with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Smith remains in the Baldwin County Jail on more than $30,000 bond.
