MOBILE. Ala. (WALA) - The first part of the Airbus assembly facility in Mobile is starting to take shape.

A structure that looks like a canopy is being built at the site in the Brookley Aeroplex.
The company announced a couple of weeks ago the plant was starting to go vertical.
THREE AIRLINES PLAN TO BUY A320'S
However, Wednesday, there was another big announcement.
The announcement concerned A320 aircraft like the ones to be built here in Mobile.
Three major airline companies in Asia announced Wednesday they are buying a bunch of them.
Airbus officials said Viet Jet Air from Vietnam plans to order 92 A320 aircraft.
The company also said BOC Aviation, the Singapore-based aircraft leasing subsidiary of Bank of China, is ordering 25 of the new planes.
Also, an airline based in China is planning to order twenty A320s.
