MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The third and final candidate vying to be the University of South Alabama’s next president will visit campus this week.
Dr. Arthur Ross III is currently the Dean of the School of Medicine at West Virginia University. He will answer questions from students, faculty and staff at a public forum on Monday, October 28. It will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center on the university’s main campus.
Dr. Ross was scheduled to visit campus in September but it was postponed after former president Gordon Moulton passed away.
Two other finalists have been announced for the position. Dr. Sheri Everts is the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Illinois State University. Dr. Jerome Gilbert is the Provost and Executive Vice President at Mississippi State University. Both have visited campus.
The University’s Board of Trustees has not said when the next president will be chosen.
