MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - As voting day nears, the Mobile mayoral candidates continued to stump for votes over the weekend.
Incumbent Mayor Sam Jones gathered supporters Sunday, August 25 at Davidson High School.There was gospel music and motivating speeches.
The mayor also took to the street, shaking hands with supporters and volunteers on Dauphin Island Parkway the previous day.
Mayor Jones told FOX10 he's happy with the way his campaign is going so far.
"I think there's a lot of enthusiasm in various communities. People are really excited about it. That's what you want to do, keep people excited, because you want them to participate in the process," said Jones.
On Monday, August 26, Jones said he would be at his campaign headquarters making calls to voters.
