TILLMAN'S CORNER, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Police arrested a 69-year-old man who they said sexually abused a woman in her sleep.
Thomas Hodge is charged with sexual abuse first-degree, menacing and attempting to elude police.
Authorities said the victim was sleeping in her bed the morning of Friday, October, 4.
She was at her residence on the 5200 block of Quimby Drive when officials said the female victim woke to find Hodge in her bed, touching her inappropriately.

After the victim contacted police, authorities said Hodge jumped into his vehicle and began a brief chase with law enforcement.
“He threatened her if she told, which is menacing,” said Rains. “When police arrived, he tried to escape.”
