MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Stanley Riley Clemmons, accused in the murder, of 46 year old Clarence Lundy was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail Friday night
According to Mobile County Sheriff investigators, Clemmons was found in Meridian, Mississippi after the death of Lundy. He was said to be cooperating with authorities.
Clemmons is charged with shooting Lundy outside of his trailer home on Strickland Road in Grand Bay Friday morning. Lundy, who was 46 years old, was said to be dating a relative of Clemmons. He died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Deputies say the 64 year old Clemmons was picking up Lundy to take him to work that morning when the alleged shooting occurred.
According to the Mobile Metro Jail log, Clemmons was booked into the metro jail around 7 p.m. last night. Sheriff investigators said he is formally charged with murder in this case.
The investigation is continuing into the circumstances of this case.
The trial for Giuseppe Pino LoPorto continues today in Baldwin County. LoPorto, now 80-years-old, faces several sex abuse charges against a child dating back to the early 90s.
