MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A rape suspect turned himself into Metro Jail Monday night. Raymond Greene, 44, was book around 8 p.m. He was released on bond a few hours later.
Greene is charged with rape, sodomy, sex abuse and harassing communications. Sheriff's officials said the abuse went on for several years and involved a minor female who Greene knew.
The victim is now 17 years old.
"The abuse occurred from the time she was about 10 years old up until the time she was 15," Sgt. Joe Mahoney said.
Greene was indicted on the charges on September 30. His next court date is October 21.
Friends are shocked by the murder of a woman who used to call Mobile home. Atlanta investigators say 43-year-old Pamela Williams was shot during a home invasion robbery Saturday, November 30. She died Monday.
