MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The 4th Annual Run for the Battleship is just a few weeks away.
Battleship Memorial Park is self-sustained, meaning it does not receive funds from the state or federal government. The run helps support Battleship Memorial Park.
“We’ve got our 4th annual Run for the Battleship, which will be taking place on Saturday, November 9 and it will begin at 8 am. It’s a certified 5K. We are asking everyone to come out and join us whether you run, walk, and stroll. Just come out and join us for a great morning to support the Battleship. It’s always during Veterans Day. It’s during the time of the year to come out and to remember the sacrifices those men and women have made for our country…and help the Battleship as well,” said Marketing Director Karen Conner.
The run will begin at Battleship Memorial Park and will proceed east on Battleship Parkway where runners will turn back to the Park near Felix’s Fish Camp. Throughout the day, special activities and awards will be given.
