PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - The Escambia County Sheriff's Office will conduct an "Operation Clean Sweep" along Maxwell Street, Thursday October 17, 2013.
The Sweep will include a traffic check-point, sex offender address compliance, and parolee checks, according to a Sheriff's spokesperson.
Volunteers will also pick up trash and help senior citizens move large items to the curb for trash collection.
Sheriff's officials will educate residents about crime prevention and starting Neighborhood Watch programs.
Volunteers and residents are encouraged to help out. The clean up will begin at 8:00 am at The Boys and Girls Club located on 2751 N H Street.
