PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - A Pensacola Beach Air Show planned for Veteran’s Day weekend has gone up in smoke.
The Santa Rosa Island Authority, in conjunction with Naval Air Station Pensacola’s Morale Welfare and Recreation Department originally planned to host an air show with or without the Blue Angels featuring civilian acts.
The Angels have been grounded all season due to federal budget cuts.
After hearing NAS has opted for a toned down show featuring a concert and only a couple of acts, the SRIA decided not to move forward.
