Macrobiotic Chef Mayumi Nishimura stopped by Studio10 to tell us all about her book and how she's helping one local organization.
Nishimura is the longtime personal chef to international superstar Madonna! Her book, "Mayumi's Kitchen: Macrobiotic Cooking for Body and Soul", details the style of cooking she did for Madonna. She says Macrobiotic Cooking is plant-based with some proteins mixed in... an extremely healthy combination.
Nishimura is also spending some time with Camp Rap-A-Hope. Camp Rap-A-Hope is an organization that provides a week-long summer camp at Camp Grace in Mobile, Alabama and is open to children between the ages of 7 and 17 who have or have ever had cancer.
