The Old Town Bay Minette Arts Council will be holding its seasonal Market Day at Blackburn Park on July 13. Vendor booths will be set up from 7 a.m. to noon, featuring a variety of handmade, homemade or homegrown items.
There will also be live music and food plates for sale downtown.
Arts Council member Judy Pimperl said the Market Days have been a big hit, and continue to grow.
"Our June Market Day was a great one, with lots of variety in the offerings brought in by many vendors. The seasoning rubs were a big hit, and Perdido Vineyards sold just about everything they brought along," Pimperl said.
The council hopes to continue to build on the success of the event, and to recruit even more vendors to join in the fun.
"Buyers are always in the market for anything good to eat – baked goods, canned jams and jellies, seasonings and such," said Pimperl. "We have been running short on produce, so if you have an abundance of veggies from your home garden, bring it on out to our next Market Day."
Spaces are 10x10, and participants must bring their own tables, tent or "just back your truck up and sell from there." Space fee is $15 for members of OTBMAC and $20 for non-members or free for non-profit groups. Everything at the sale must be handmade, homemade or homegrown.
