MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - As the Carnival Triumph cruise ship prepares to dock at the port of Mobile Thursday, there may be a need for medical care for some of the passengers on the ship, which has been adrift at sea since Sunday.
FOX10 will talk to Mobile Infirmary Health Systems officials about what sort of medical problems the ship's passengers could face and how a triage station can help.
Mobile Fire-Rescue and emergency technicians will also be onsite at the Mobile Cruise Terminal if their services are needed.
A weekend engine fire knocked out the ship's primary power source, leaving it adrift in the Gulf of Mexico.
There are more than 4,000 people onboard. One passenger told FOX10 there is no air conditioning and some long lines for food.
