"One of the girls got grazed in the knee by a bullet. She was trying to throw my little children, my 2- and my 3 year-old out of the way and my 14-year-old told me a bullet went right past my 2-year-old's head," said Smith's mother.
With her parent's permission, Smith's 3-year-old sister described what she saw:
"The boy would start shooting (and) my sister got shot," the toddler said. "The police came, the firefighters came and take my sister to the hospital. She's still got a bandage."
