MOBILE, Ala. - A fun day on the river is this weekend in Baldwin County.
Emily Malone and Patsy Robinson stopped by Studio 10 to talk about O Delta Day.
On October 27, 2009, members of the north Baldwin County community lost a great friend, Leigh Ann Overstreet. Leigh Ann's friends have been honoring her memory each year by organizing the O Delta Day scholarship benefit event .
The 4th annual O Delta Day is Saturday from 11am - 4pm at Matthew's Landing in Stockton. Most people know it aw Lower Bryant's Pavilion. Emily and Patsy say all the activities are things Leigh Ann would have loved.
Some of the activities include a fishing tournament, river races, rafting, a dessert cooking contest, a silent auction, inter-tubing, live music, Elvis impersonation and more!
Money raised at the O Delta Day will be used as scholarship money for some Baldwin County High School students. So far, $16,000 has been raised over the years and given to Baldwin County High School band members.
You can arrive by boat, or drive to Matthew's Landing for the event. There will also be fish and chicken plates for sale.
You're invited to bring the whole family to soak in some fun for a great cause.
