PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Escambia County Deputies responded to Village Mobile Home Park on Pensacola Blvd after they said they received reports that Ellis Clark, 33, was threatening someone.
The victim claimed Clark showed up to their home with a handgun and allegedly had an AK 47 in the trunk of his car.
Authorities said Clark fled upon seeing the officers and was pursued to LongLeaf Drive, just east of Wymart Road, where he lost control of the vehicle and was taken into custody. Neither the suspect nor any officers were injured.
Tameka Thomas is Clark's sister and was at the scene. She said she doesn't believe the accusations against Clark.
"I just saw my brother this morning. He had no intention to kill anyone, and he didn't even have any guns on him. So that's a lie," said Thomas.
FOX10 asked Thomas why she thinks her brother, who she said was driving their mother's vehicle, would run from deputies.
"He could have been scared. They said there were about eight police cars chasing him. So he could have been scared and that's why he ran," she said.
Authorities said Pine Forest High School, West Florida High School and Longleaf Elementary were all locked down until the pursuit was over.
Clark has been charged with aggravated stalking, knowingly driving while license suspended/revoked, driving with an expired license, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, fleeing and eluding an officer and reckless driving.
