PENSACOLA, Fla. - Charges are pending the outcome of an investigation into atraffic crash that injured a motorcyclist Saturday night.
Officer Mark Holmes said the crash occurred around 10:15 p.m. atthe intersection of Creighton Road and Ninth Avenue.
Holmes said a motorcycle driven by Christopher Beal, 21, ofPensacola, was eastbound on Creighton Road when he made a left turnonto Ninth Avenue in front of a pickup truck that was westbound onCreighton. That pickup was driven by Bryan Hinote, 22, also ofPensacola.
The front of the motorcycle collided with the front of thetruck. Holmes said both vehicles had a solid green traffic signal,and Hinote had the right-of-way.
Beal, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle.He was taken to Sacred Heart with multiple injuries.
Neither Hinote nor a passenger in the truck – LaurenDrinkard, 22, of Pensacola – were injured. Both were wearingseatbelts.
Holmes said the crash is not believed to be speed or alcoholrelated.
