GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WALA) - A Navarre, Fla. teen died in a single-car accident early Saturday morning on Highway 98 in Santa Rosa County.
Robert Brannon, 18, was driving early Saturday in the westbound lanes of Hwy. 98 when his vehicle left the road.
According to an accident report, the accident happened near the intersection of Kelton Blvd. when Brannon's car left the road and collided with a utility pole then rotated and vaulted into a traffic light pole at the corner of the intersection.
Brannon was pronounced dead on the scene by police at around 1 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating why Brannon's car may have left the road.
