MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The third suspect in a double homicide has been arrested. Police escorted Bryant Reynolds to Mobile Metro Jail Friday.
Reynolds and two other men are accused of killing Willie Sullivan, Sr. and his grandson Glenn early Wednesday morning.
Police believe Reynolds, Ricky Turner, and Tavares Jones broke down the door to a home on Old Military Road and shot Glenn. They believe the noise woke Sullivan, Sr., who got up and fired back at the suspects.
Reynolds and Jones were hit in the gunfire. Jones' head was grazed by a bullet. Reynolds' head was also grazed by a bullet, and was also hit in the shoulder and wrist.
All three suspects have been charged with capital murder.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd has pleaded guilty to a state felony and will resign immediately. Byrd on Thursday pleaded guilty in circuit court to one charge of intimidating a witness.
