Trying to save money can be a challenge, and it's even harder when you don't know where to turn to find money saving tools. EasternShoreMom Aubrey Nix joined Derica Williams on Studio to talk about unusual places to find coupons.
We all love when the Sunday paper has awesome coupons inside. And of course when you are couponing, Nix encourages you to snag multiple copies of the coupons so you can buy more than one of the products using the coupons. But with the Sunday paper at $2 each, where can you find these coupon inserts without having to purchase them?
Fast Food Restaurants- Places like Starbucks & McDonalds have a copy of the paper and the inserts will just be sitting inside. Ask a manager or employee before taking these, but most of the time they will allow you to take them freely.
Airports/Hotels- When you are traveling, keep your eye out for stray papers in the hotel lobby or around the airport. They are discarded, and the coupon inserts could possible be still inside!
Neighbors- Put a word out to your family, friends, or neighbors to save their coupon inserts for you to pick up!
Recycling Centers- Try your local recycling center. See if they allow "dumpster diving" in their paper recycling section to pick out the coupon inserts that are left over from the Sunday paper.
