MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: Mobile Police say after Jamelle Scott was profiled on FOX10 News Fugitive Files, she returned more than $1,700 to America's First Federal Credit Union. It accepted restitution. The arrest warrant for theft of property by deception was withdrawn.
The search is on for a FOX10 News Fugitive Files suspect wanted on a theft charge.
Jamelle Scott has a prior arrest record that includes an outstanding warrant from Baldwin county. Now, Mobile Police say Scott is wanted for making withdrawals from a worthless account.
Mobile Police Sergeant Christopher Levy said, "She deposited 7 checks worth almost 2 thousand dollars and went to an ATM and withdrew that money."
Scott is 36 years old, 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. She's been arrested in the past on charges that involve theft of property, harassing communication and driving without a license. Meantime, the search is over for Nichole McLaney, accused of robbing a woman in downtown Mobile. Mobile police arrested her on October 30, 2013. She is arrest number 581 for you and FOX10 News Fugitive Files.
