COLLEGE STATION, Texas (WALA) - The Bama fans have started to roll into College Station and one guy, Mobile native Tip Alexander, had to make a statement early.
On Thursday, September 12, Alexander went into campus and put an Alabama flag over the Texas A&M University entrance - but had to do it quickly.
"I figured I had to hurry up and do it and take a picture. Didn't want any of them or their cheerleaders to kick my butt. It was pretty quick," said Alexander.
The flag wasn't the only thing that stirred drama with the Aggie fans. Alexander came in town driving a car decorated with Alabama flags, and painted crimson and white.
"I had a problem in Mississippi, they didn't like the fact it didn't have doors, but we were towing a trailer that weighed a couple tons," Alexander said. "But it was fun and it made it, we were alright.
"It's a lot of fun it still is, we're just getting started, people are starting to roll into town, so there's more Alabama fans, more support. It's gonna be a good time."
