MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - “You know I think we’re playing a very good team, a team that has very good tradition, and a lot of 10-game winning seasons, they’ve got a great coach who is the number 1 winning coach, active coach in college football, they know how to win, they’re a team who always plays really hard, lots of toughness, lots of effort.”
That’s the way Nick Saban described Virginia Tech, his opponent this Saturday – It will be the 13th match up between the Tide and the Hokies --- in a series that Alabama has dominated 11 to 1.
But if you know Nick Saban – what’s happened in the past, doesn’t matter.
“Six starters back on offense, 9 on defense Logan Thomas is an exceptionally talented QB who is really capable of taking over a game as a passer or as a runner – This is a good all around team we’re playing, very challenging game for our guys,” said Saban.
Saban made it a point, that the focus of the team – is entirely on week one.
““That’s our goal, that’s what we want to do as a team doesn’t really matter – nothing else matters. There’s no external factors that matter at all, to any player on our team – it’s all about how they perform in this game. It’s not about what they did last year, it’s not about their girlfriends, it’s not about anything but playing this game
