UPDATE:  FOX10 News Fugitive Files suspect Jeffery Thames, Jr. surrendered.  He is the 617th suspect to be arrested and the 324th to surrender.

Violence against children has been in the news a lot lately.  Our FOX 10 News Fugitive Files suspect is accused of shooting into a car with 4 children inside. Police say it happened in late July in the 100 block of Cody Road South.

Mobile Police say Jeffery Thames, Junior apparently got upset when he saw the mother of his child with a new man.

“The only thing about Mr. Thames, he was exchanging his child with the victim, and we believe a third party was on the scene as well, and a confrontation ensued between Mr. Thames, the victim and a third party,” said Mobile Police Officer Terence Perkins.

Thames is 24 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.  If you know where he can be found, call the FOX10 News Fugitive Files/MPD Intel Hotline at 251-208-7000.

Police say none of the children was hit.  Thames faces felony charges once you turn him in.
