BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Alabama Republican Roy Moore is using his closing campaign rally to lash out at sexual misconduct accusations against him. Speaking at a Monday night rally, Moore is urging his supporters to get to the polls Tuesday and calling the article that first raised allegations against him "disgusting." Moore, 70, faces allegations of sexual misconduct involving teenage girls decades ago. Moore says, "If you don't believe in my character, don't vote for me."

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - One Alabama city has committed $25,000 toward a project aimed at helping its citizens get fit. Dothan city commissioners approved the money for a planned fitness court of 1,400 square feet (130 sq. meters) at the city's Westgate Park.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Police are investigating the slaying of a man found shot at an Alabama apartment complex. Birmingham police say officers were called Sunday evening to the HighPointe Apartments complex. The victim was found shot in one of the apartments.

ATLANTA (AP) - Thousands remain without electricity across the Deep South days after a winter snow storm snapped power lines across the region. At least 18,500 homes and businesses in Georgia were still in the dark Monday according to Georgia Power and Georgia Electric Membership corporation. Alabama Power says it's restored all storm-related outages.
