MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

UPDATE: FOX10 News Fugitive Files suspect James Pritchard surrendered, 24 hours after being profiled on FOX10 News.  He is the 708th suspect to be arrested and the 375th to surrender.

FOX10 News Fugitive Files suspect James Pritchard faces burglary and assault charges.  Mobile Police say, during a jealous rage involving his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, Pritchard attacked the man and stabbed him repeatedly.

"The victim actually woke up to Mr. Pritchard assaulting him at that time.  He was unable to get his cellular phone because of the struggle with Mr. Pritchard at that time.  Shortly after the struggle, Mr. Pritchard did leave the residence and the victim was able to call the police," said Mobile Police Officer Donald Wallace.

Wallace said the victim suffered lacerations to his head, face, arms, chest and a puncture to his left side.  He said Pritchard had previously threatened to kill the victim and his ex-girlfriend.

The attack happened in the 1200 block of  Baltimore Street. Pritchard is 51 years old, 5 foot 7 and weighs 200 pounds.  Have you seen him?  Call the FOX10 News Fugitive Files/Crimestoppers Hotline at 251-208-7000.

Mobile Police say Pritchard's criminal record dates back 31 years for charges that include assault, harassment and marijuana possession.  He has served time in prison for burglary and domestic violence.
