A Mobile elementary school drove home the point about the dangers of bullying in a vibrant way Friday.

Collins-Rhodes Elementary school held a big pep rally, but not for athletics.

It marked the end of "Anti-Bullying Awareness Week."

Organizers said, this year, they included Pre-K and kindergarten students after learning a lesson from last year's campaign.

Anti-Bullying Committee Chairperson Daphne Dudley said, "Most of the children who came to me saying they were being bullied were our younger kids in kindergarten, first, and second grade, so we decided this year to include everybody."

Juvenile Court Judge Edmond Naman told students those who are bullied should talk to their parents or school administrators, but that all students should get involved.

Judge Naman said, "If we're going to end bullying anywhere, it's got to be those children that are not going through the bullying, that are not the bullies, but sit back and watch it happen. They have the power to end it.  They have the power by befriending those that are being hurt."

And the students seem to be quick learners.

Among their comments:

"Bullying has an impact on people and hurts them."

"It should be taken serious and not taken for a joke."

"When you bully people, they just think it's funny, and I don't think it's funny because it's hurting people and making people feel sad inside."

Also, the Mobile County District Attorney's Office has a "Bully Blocker" program where you send a text if you're being bullied.
