In celebration of Fairhope Founders Day, the Baldwin Pops Band, conducted by Dr. Jason Rinehart, will present "Southern Harmony" at 6:00 PM Sunday, October 1 at Henry George Park in Fairhope.
This concert continues the 20th Anniversary Season of the Baldwin Pops Band and debuts our new conductor, Dr. Jason Rinehart, Associate Director of Bands at the University of South Alabama.
The band will perform an all American program including Bayou Breakdown by Brant Karrick, Kentucky – 1800 by Clare Grundman, March “The Southerner” by Russell Alexander, Shenandoah by Frank Ticheli, Highlights from The Lion King arranged by Calvin Custer, and The Wrong Note Rag by Leonard Bernstein.
Concert dinner delivery will be offered by Andree's Catering (call 251-928-8863 to order), which includes an entry for a gift basket raffle supporting the band. Tickets for the gift basket will also be sold at the concert.
The Checkered Tablecloth Award will be presented to the person or group with the most interesting picnic setup. Bring chairs or blankets. There will be a children's march with flags after intermission.
