It was supposed to be a burglary, but when there was no cash to steal, deputies told FOX10 News the burglars raped and sodomized the innocent 27-year-old woman living at the home.
Now, the Mobile County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) needs your help to track down two of the three men investigators say participated in the violent home invasion in Eight Mile on September 27.
Deputies said one of the men, Tremayne Files, 21, was arrested Monday.
Investigators said Files is charged with rape and burglary, after detectives said he confessed to committing the crime.
Now, the other two men involved in the crime, Jamarcus Edwards, 22, and DaKwon Oliver, 19, remain at large.
MCSO detectives told FOX10 News the three men had gotten a tip the victim's home may have some cash, and would be a good house from which to steal.
Upon breaking into the home on Rocky Run, MCSO said the victim inside the house had no cash to give the burglars, so Files and Edwards raped and sodomized the victim instead.
"I will say, it was an extremely tough ordeal for the victim, because they were there for a while, and the acts they committed were savage," said Captain Paul Burch with MCSO.
MCSO said Oliver did not participate in the sexual assault, but he does have an extensive criminal background.
MCSO warned the public that Oliver and Edwards are considered armed and dangerous. If you know where they are, do the right thing, and turn them in.
"Anytime someone commits sexual acts on an unwilling participant, I can't imagine how traumatizing that would be, it just shows the lack of human compassion on these people. It's one thing to go in and break into a house and steal, but when you commit a violent act on another person, you've taken it to a whole new level," said Burch. "We are going to be actively hunting for them."
