Cleanup efforts following hurricane Nate continue in neighborhoods throughout our area.
Many people in the Navco community, right on Dog River, are facing the same problem.
"Sticks, pipes and all the stuff falling off the trees," one resident said.
It's been three days since hurricane Nate blew through the area and neighbors are still trying to clean up the mess he left behind.
"We got a lot of street flooding which has led to a lot of backyards getting congested with debris," Ratheal Edwards said.
Edwards says one of the challenges of getting yards clean is the saturated ground.
"We're just doing it in punch holes, taking breaks as needed because safety always comes first for us. We just take it as much as we can, as fast as we can before the weather gets any other type of way," Edwards said.
Edwards says he's just thankful it wasn't worse.
"It's better than people losing lives, so yeah," Edwards said.
City crews are still making the rounds, helping with cleanup. Residents are hoping things get back to normal, soon.
