MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

UPDATE: Mobile Police have identified the victim as 42-year-old Timothy Pinckard.

Investigators received a call around 5:10 p.m., November 5 regarding a shooting on I-10.

Officers were told that two men got into an argument while driving east on I-10 near the Riviere Du Chien Road overpass. Police said one man shot the other. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died.

According to eyewitnesses, there were three vehicles involved and they had all pulled over on the side of the road. At least two witnesses told FOX10 News that at one point, a man was on the ground with another man holding him at gunpoint. We are continuing to talk to witnesses and asking investigators to confirm these accounts.

Charlette Solis with the Mobile Police Department said, "The case will be presented to the Mobile County Grand Jury for further prosecutorial efforts."

Mobile Police said they are investigating this case as a homicide.
