MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Mobile Police said a man was carjacked moments after he was rear-ended at one of the city's busiest intersections.

Investigators said it happened around 1 a.m. Sunday on University Boulevard. The victim says he turned on University from Airport Boulevard when another vehicle struck him from behind. When he got out of the car to check the damage, the victim says someone from the other vehicle placed a handgun to his back and said, "Don't move or I will shoot you."

The gunman then left with the victim's car. Police did not give a description of either vehicle.

If you know anything else about this case, you're asked to give Mobile Police a call.
