MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

A man charged with killing two people in separate shootings was back in court Tuesday morning.

Richard Jones, 31, is accused of killing Eppie Farris in June and Christopher Coleman in July.

Jones was put in solitary confinement at Mobile County Metro Jail after investigators claimed he was calling witnesses and intimidating them. He was allowed back in a normal cell after promising the judge he would not contact witnesses. The cases will be heard by a grand jury.

Last month, Jones was in court on a different charge. A judge ruled that a domestic violence complaint against him will also go to a grand jury. In that case, Mobile Police said Jones hit his ex-girlfriend in the eye.
