MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Mobile Fire-Rescue investigators have arrested a male and female for setting fires behind Dickey’s Barbeque
Pit in Westwood Plaza, at 7765 Airport Blvd., according to the MFRD.

Mobile firefighters were called out to a possible commercial building fire at approximately 1:28 a.m. Friday.

When firefighters arrived they discovered a small area fire behind the buildings and extinguished it, according to a news release.  After the fire was extinguished they discovered it was a port-a-potty that had burned.

It was also discovered that a power pole was set ablaze and another fire was set behind the building nearby.

Timothy Montgomery Bufford and Amber Jolen Kuta will both be charged with second-degree arson and two counts of first-degree criminal mischief.

The arson unit of the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is conducting the investigation.
