The SEC Championship game is a game that has seen some good competition over the years. This season it will be more than just a conference title. The winner also earns a ticket to the College Football Playoffs.
The first time Auburn and Georgia met this year the Tigers beat the Bulldogs 40-17. However, Auburn might be without their star running back, Kerryon Johnson at game time.
“As far as Kerryon is concerned, he did do some practice things on a limited basis. We're going to see how he is in pregame. It will be a game-time decision. Obviously, you know how important he is to our success, and he's helped get us here. We're very confident in our other running backs if he can't go. We'll see happens,” said Auburn Head Coach, Gus Malzahn.
As for the Bulldogs, second-year head coach, Kirby Smart said his team is different from last game.
“I think physicality, number one, is recruited. I think, number two, it's developed. It's off-season demeanor. It's built over time. It's not just a snap overnight. But I do believe this, that we're a more physical team than we presented the last time we played them,” said Georgia Head Coach, Kirby Smart.
