The cold weather was definitely being felt on the streets of downtown Mobile. FOX10 News Reporter Lee Peck was out there and got reaction from locals.
With holiday favorites playing in the streets and decorations galore, it not only sounds and looks like Christmas but it feels like it too.
Lee: "Scale of 1 to 10 -- how cold are you?"
Man: "A 12. Laughs. I asked for a little coldness - but this is a little too much."
"You don't know which way to dress... I guess that's Mobile weather... It changes from day to day," said one woman.
At 46 degrees and dropping, it's a dramatic change in temperature from earlier in the week. However, not everyone is feeling the chill.
Lee: "How cold is it?"
Woman: "Not cold at all... I'm from Indiana."
"I was down in Pensacola yesterday taking advantage of the weather. I'm from New York... This is really not too bad," said one man.
LEE: "Yesterday, we were wearing shorts, and today we are all bundled up... What's that about?"
Woman: "I don't know... I was in Hilton Head last week... It was beautiful. It's just a change in the weather. It's nice. It's a nice change as long as you're dressed for it."
Even though locals know not to get too used to it, for now the cooler air is just what they need to set the mood for the holidays.
"I put on the Christmas music this morning. It was really cool outside - so I put it on this morning... So I'm a little more in the spirit today... Pretty good," said one man.
