Classical Ballet of Mobile names new Artistic Director

MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Classical Ballet of Mobile has named Winthrop Corey its Artistic Director.  Pam Thompson will remain Academy Director of the School at CBM.

Corey had served as Artistic Director of Mobile Ballet for nearly 30 years.  He is a respected ballet teacher, choreographer and dancer who performed with Rudolf Nureyev.

CBM describes its mission as inspiring "a lasting love and appreciation for ballet through superb training, artistic excellence and performance opportunities, while adhering to the highest ethical standards and practices". 

The 6,000-square-foot studio, which provides classical ballet training to ages 3 through adult, on state-of-the-art sprung floors, is located at Park Center, 4621 Spring Hill Avenue in Mobile.  

Classical Ballet of Mobile is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
