BALDWIN COUNTY, AL (WALA) -

Cpl. Michael Walker from the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is resting at home after outpatient surgery on an eye.

Walker was shot while responding to a domestic violence call in Stockton Tuesday morning. Investigators said a shotgun blast hit him in the face and upper torso. He was released from USA Medical Center on Wednesday and had the operation on his eye on Thursday.

The man accused of shooting the deputy, 37-year-old Forrest Bullin, is charged with attempted murder. Investigators said Bullin threw a woman off a bridge a few hours before Walker was shot.
