Auburn fans left the Mercedes Benz Stadium heartbroken on Monday. The Tigers were defeated by the UCF Knights 34 - 27 in the 2018 Peach Bowl.

While it was sad for Auburn, it was equally exciting for UCF, the underdogs going into the bowl game. Knights fans say it was the perfect way to end their now 13-0 season.

“Undefeated! Undefeated! “ screamed UCF fans after the game. “The only undefeated team in the country!”

The Tigers put on a tough fight until the very end. They looked to tie up the game with 24 seconds left before freshman defensive back Antwan Collier’s interception sealed it for UCF.

Tiger fans say this loss only gives them more motivation for next year.

“I’m sad that we lost, but UCF is a great team,” said one Auburn fan. “We will be back next year bigger and better than ever before. We are still proud of our boys and we had a great season!”
