Mobile County, Chickasaw offering uniform flexibility due to cold weather

Due to the freezing temperatures in our area, the Mobile County Public School System and Chickasaw City Schools have released statements on Tuesday, January 2, announcing flexibility in their school uniform policy. Due to the freezing temperatures in our area, the Mobile County Public School System and Chickasaw City Schools have released statements on Tuesday, January 2, announcing flexibility in their school uniform policy.

Classes for Mobile County students are scheduled to resume on Thursday, January 4. In Chickasaw, with the exception of Pre-K, all other students will return on Thursday, January 4 as well. Pre-K students will return to school on Monday, January 8 in Chickasaw.

In a social media post, Mobile County school officials say they are offering students flexibility on Thursday and Friday with the exception being any clothing that would be considered pajamas. Read the full post below.

Chickasaw said students will be allowed to dress as warm as possible.
