President Trump to attend National Championship Game in Atlanta

CBS46 in Atlanta has confirmed that President Trump will attend the College Football Playoff National Championship Game next week. 

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that President Trump and the First Lady will be the guest of Vice President Pence's chief of staff Nick Ayers. Ayers is a native of the Atlanta area. 

The National Championship Game between Alabama and Georgia is Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. 

In the first White House press briefing of the year, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said, "The President would like to start by congratulating two great teams from two great states, both in the heart of Trump country.  We look forward to a fantastic national championship between Georgia and Alabama next week."
