MOBILE COUNTY, AL (WALA) -

FOX10 News is continuing to dig deeper into the dramatic school bus fire caught on camera in Grand Bay.

On Wednesday, the Alabama Department of Insurance said the fire is being investigated as accidental.

Alabama Department of Insurance Public Information Officer, Jennifer Bowen, said initial reports show the blaze started in the engine and is somehow connected to the fuel system.
School officials said the Mobile County public school bus was only five years old.
The driver and more than 20 students from Alma Bryant High School and Grand Bay Middle School were on board and managed to safely escape.
Bowen says school officials continue working with the Alabama State Fire Marshal's office on the details.
